• 1045 carbon steel is hard but provides for a good balance of strength, and toughness
• Turnbuckle bodies are part of a 3-piece turnbuckle assembly, featuring a rectangular body with each end having a tapped hole with opposing threads that allows the buckle body to spin and draw in or push out the end fittings without the need to twist or spin any of the remaining components of the assembly
