This material has excellent ozone and weather resistant elastomer possessing superior aging characteristics. It also has effective heat resistance up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Wondering which metal to choose? Aluminum provides good performance when moderate strength and deflection requirements exist and also minimizes concerns of galvanic corrosion in certain installations. Galvanized Steel backing material provides good strength characteristics and corrosion resistance. But, for optimum corrosion resistance, 18-8 Stainless Steel is the way to go.
