All timber bolts are made to ASME standard specs. Click on the Data Sheet Icon for product drawings, dimensions, performance and mechanical data.
Timber bolts are frequently used in both wood and marine applications, and commonly referred to as dome head, fender head, safety head, and mushroom head bolts. The underside of the over-sized, rounded bolt head has nubs or fins which prevent the bolt from turning in the timber (usually between two and four nubs). The over-sized head of the timber bolt eliminates the need for a washer on the bolt head end, therefore reducing costs.
