High performance carbides are brazed to the cutting edge for durability and to help prevent tooth loss when hitting nails or drilling through abrasive materials. Large carbides and aggressive tooth design cuts through material faster for rough-in applications. Tall body easily drills through 2X dimensional lumber with up to 3/4" sheathing attached. Deep body slots allow for easy plug removal. Carbide teeth are optimized to cut through a variety of materials including nail embedded wood, concrete block, fiber cement, and brick.
