Heavy Hex Nuts - Structural Nuts
Heavy Hex Nuts, also referred to as structural nuts, are both thicker and wider than a standard (finished) hex nut and compatible with high strength and large diameter bolts. Nuts in sizes 7/16" and smaller are double chamfered. Nuts larger than 7/16" are either double chamfered or chamfered on top with a washer faced bearing surface. They are most commonly used in construction and engineering applications and paired with heavy hex (structural) bolts.
