Tees

Iron pipe tees are fittings used in plumbing and piping systems that are typically made from iron or steel. They are shaped like the letter "T" and are used to join three pipes at a junction, allowing fluid (liquids or gases) to flow through all three branches.

The main characteristics of iron pipe tees include:
1. T-shaped Design: They have a main run (horizontal) and two branches (vertical).
2. Threaded or Socketed Connections: Depending on the type of pipe system, iron pipe tees can have threaded ends for screwing into other fittings or pipes, or socket ends for solvent welding or brazing.
3. Materials: Traditionally made from cast iron, though modern versions are also made from malleable iron or steel, depending on the application and required strength.
4. Usage: Commonly used in water supply networks, industrial piping systems, and plumbing installations where a three-way connection is needed.

Iron pipe tees are integral to creating complex pipe networks and ensuring the proper flow and distribution of fluids within a system.
