What is Tin Electroplating?
The Tin Electroplating process, intended for engineering purposes, is used for corrosion protection, to facilitate soldering, to improve anti-galling characteristics, and as a stop of barrier in the nitrating of high-strength steels. It is commonly used in industries such as: military, automotive, aerospace, and electrical.
Tin has a white-gray appearance and can be anywhere from matte to bright. It is a non-toxic, soft and very ductile, but not good in low temperature applications.
Tin plating is RoHS compliant.
AFT's Tin Electroplating Production Capabilities
High Volume Rack Finishing
AFT builds custom designed tooling to ensure product damage is minimized, resulting in a consistently high quality product.
Internal tooling also allows us to efficiently run high volumes and turn product in a timely manner.
High Volume Barrel Finishing
AFT also provides bulk processing for a more cost effective barrel plating process.
We have had much success plating connectors, springs, stampings, brackets and fasteners in bulk.
AFT finishes are engineered to plate on aluminum, copper, stainless steel, steel, die cast, and brass.
