Wire Rope Thimbles

Wire rope thimbles are fittings used with wire rope to preserve the natural shape of the loop and protect the cable from pinching on the inside of the loop. Our metal thimble sizes range from 1/8” rope size up to 2-1/4” rope size and are available in hot dipped galvanized and stainless steel. Stainless steel thimbles are recommended for more corrosive environments where greater protection is needed, whereas galvanized thimbles are recommended for light duty applications in which it is being assembled into another fitting such as a shackle or master link.
